It is a tea cup (coffee cup) of "Dainippon Kutani".

It is believed to have been produced during the Meiji period (1874-1887, when Kutani exports were particularly popular), when the government put a lot of effort into exporting. It is also said to be Seikado-zukuri, but it is not certain because there is no backmark.

Kutani-esque orange red, with fans and folding fans drawn on it. The gold dot pattern is drawn on the fan part, and you can feel the unevenness when you touch it.

Although it is old, the pattern is also very modern and cute tea cup. It's small, so I think it's good to use it as a demitasse.

Please take a look at the matching sugar pot and milk pitcher.
