About NORTA

NORTA was established by an owner who has long been selecting products in the fashion industry, captivated by the beautiful traditional crafts and wonderfully delicate techniques of artisans in Ishikawa Prefecture, and wishes to introduce them not only to Japanese people but to people around the world.

While incorporating traditional craft techniques, we produce interior goods and miscellaneous items that match modern lifestyles. We engage in manufacturing while directly communicating with artists and craftsmen.

Additionally, we handle antiques that reveal glimpses of the culture and craftsmanship of the time, and one can easily become fascinated by their depth.

Kanazawa City is rich in history and culture, with a variety of crafts, and just a little further, you can be moved by Kutani ware in Nomi City, be healed by Yamanaka Onsen and Kaga Onsen, and visit the nature-rich Noto Peninsula. Even in the Noto region alone, places like Noto Island, Suzu City, and Wajima City are abundant in nature, each with its own charm. Of course, there is also delicious food!

Please come and explore the charms of Ishikawa that you have yet to discover.

We look forward to your visit!

About the Owner/Producer

After studying fashion design domestically, I went to Paris and Italy to learn design from various wonderful designers and ateliers. Later, I moved to New York, the center of art and design in the world, where I worked as a freelance designer and was exposed to worldwide level creations. After returning to Japan, I worked as a merchandising director for luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Dolce and Gabbana, Tory Burch, and Ferragamo, where I was involved in various top-level creations and developed an eye for discerning quality.

In 2022, the NORTA shop opened in Kanazawa.

I continue to produce NORTA while also working as a brand merchandising consultant.
