This dish is made of Wajima-nuri, (Japanese lacquer) a traditional craft. This dish is made by Masaaki Maki-e goldblade artist and Sanshu Nuri lacquer artist. Various seasonal flowers and grasses are beautifully maki-e on the black lacquer.

The Wajima-nuri plaster contrasts with the black to make not only Japanese sweets, but also Western sweets such as cakes look more vivid and delicious.

Each piece is individually painted with a different pattern, so why not choose the one you like best?

Wajima-nuri and Maki-e are very time-consuming traditional crafts, so each piece is very valuable and very expensive. So NORTA is selling them one at a time so that as many customers as possible can pick one up.

If you would like to purchase a set of 5 pieces, we can include the original box, but please note that the left side of the lid has been removed. (See photo).
