A very pretty set of hand-painted gold- and red-painted tea utensils.
The red arabesque pattern is accented with flowers in gold, and the finish is very elegant without being too gaudy.
The full set includes a teapot, a teacup, and four teacup bowls, and is in very good condition.
It was purchased from an old local family. It seems to have been made in the Meiji to Taisho periods.
The small size of this set is really lovely.
Recently, Taiwanese tea is in trend, and the size is perfect for it.
